What should I bring for group obedience training ?
- A 6′ leash with appropriate size clasp
- Training collar
- Water/bowl
Will I need treats for class?
No. We do not use treats for our training. We believe in using tools you will have on you at all time. Lots of praise! You will always have your hands and the ability to praise your dog and show a lot of positive reinforcement. Carrying treats with you at all times to get your dog to “obey” would be difficult.
What should I wear to class?
We train outdoors and in all elements. If it’s raining, we’re training. Plan to bring a change of clothes if it’s raining really hard that day. (We will call off training if there is lightning or other severe weather where appropriate)
If you’re tracking with us, wear pants and boots. We recommend insect repellent also!

Do I need to feed my dog before class?
- No, the chances of bloat rise if the dog has eaten prior to exercise/work. We do our best to implement safety for you and the dog.

- We only require you to have had your dog for 2 weeks and you can get signed up. So if you got your pup at 8 weeks of age, you can start training at 10 weeks old- the earlier the better!
